I just ordered a NEW saddle from State Line Tack today. I can't wait to get it (in 2 to 4 weeks) because I don't think the saddle that I've been using fits Rocky all that well. I'm really, really hoping that this one will. From what I've been able to find out from online reviews (and from what I know of the Simco brand), this should be a comfortable, well-made saddle and it should last a really long time. This picture is from the website, but once I get it I'm sure I will take some pictures of it - we'll see if it really looks like this. It's scary making such a big purchase without even getting to see what I'm buying! At least I can return it if it doesn't work out.
This is the saddle pad that I am planning to buy - it is supposed to help keep the saddle from slipping. This is a problem we have because of the roundness factor. I am trying to choose between the purple and the lime colors. Can you all please let me know what you think would look the nicest with the saddle and on Rocky? Or if you think one of the other colors would be better, let me know that too. He's such a weird color himself, that I don't always know what would look good on him...

I like the purple, but what do I know about the saddle and saddle pads;)
I think the lime is a good choice...purple may be a bit much for him.
I like the lime, or the more indigo color. I think maybe the true purple has too much red in it...?
